Silk was actually born in Fredericton (New Brunswick), Canada. Ilkay Silk was an acclaimed actress, director and producer and also a professor the course at St. Thomas University. Her parents were Peter, a distinguished academic. Anna remembers the first moments she experienced of her childhood, like seeing her mother work during play rehearsals. Silk was a prominent character in numerous commercials as a young child. She received a Bachelor's of Arts from St. Thomas University in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas was engaged in two early theater productions which included Seven Menus (1997) and The Kitchen (1999). Silk moved to Toronto for further development of her acting career in November 1999. She later, in the next decade, she moved into Los Angeles, California. Seth Cooperman became her husband in 2007, when they met during an Actors' Workshop located in Los Angeles. They were engaged in 2009, then wed in a civil ceremony in December of the same year. When she converted to Judaism and they renewed their wedding vows at the Jewish ceremony on April 10th 2011.
