Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise was an American actress, performer, and a writer. She is most well recognized as Ginger Grant from the TV show Gilligan's Island. Her acting career began as a stage performer in the 1950s, beginning in Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. She then acted in a number of Broadway performances before she was an international star together with Li'l Abner, in the year 1957. Her album, It's Too Late for Tina that same year. Louise's first foray into Hollywood was when she played Griselda in God's Little Acre, a 1958 drama. The film received widespread applause. Louise won the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the year category. Louise enrolled in Actors Studio, New York in the same time and was Lee Strasberg's teacher. Her most memorable performance came through in 1964 when she enrolled with CBS for the role of Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise was able to balance her work between Broadway television and Hollywood, portraying more somber roles as contrast to her image of being a glamour girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. In SG-1, she played Helen Magnus and Sanctuary. In recent times, she also became a well-known director on popular TV programs like Supernatural and The 100. Born in Essex Ontario, on the 29th August in 1965. The family moved to Toronto at the age of three. Her childhood was spent there as well as her adolescence. When she was chosen to play the role as Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997. She was there ever since.
