Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw also known by her stage name Elizabeth Alice MacGraw has been as a performer, model as well as an animal rights activist in the United States. Her movies are Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus ( 1969) and The Getaway ( 1972). Her family was an artistic family from New York and wanted to take up a profession in the field of art. Her first job was as a photo assistant. Then she moved on to acting and modeling. In her first two films, she was recognized and won an award called the Golden Globe Award as Most promising young actress. MacGraw's 1970 film Love Story proved a major success and earned her international recognition along with several awards including an Academy Award' nomination and a Golden Globe award. Within three years she was named the most popular female box-office participant in the entire world. In 1972, the Grauman's Chinese Theater signed her name with handprints, foot prints and handprints in the year 1972. Also, she appeared in The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, as well as other movies. The autobiography of MacGraw Moving Pictures was published in 1991. MacGraw has been married three times.
